The Most Basic of Dental Products

When the humans developed into farmers and learned to band together for security, their life expectancy increased but they noticed that often they would lose their teeth well before the end. Gumming food didn't provide much fun and just a little more nutrition so false teeth were created but were not very good or comfortable.
Most people use dental products in the morning time when rushing to work or daily activities or late at night when sleep is desired above all and soon. Dental professionals have always wanted to make dental care in the home as easy as possible. Dentists are on of the areas of medicine trying to get everyone so healthy they barely need the professional's services.
Perhaps the most basic of the dental products available, toothpaste is used throughout the world to help protect our teeth against rot and disease. The usage ranges from once a while, to once a day, to after every meal but the wide spread nature of the product is undisputable. Ancient China seems to have started the formal making of toothpaste as it was the invention center for so many great ideas used today. Many cultures around the world have used toothpastes of various types and styles.
The list of combination toothpastes has dozens on it. Mouthwash has been added to fight bacteria and make fresh breath. Whitening agents are put in to give everyone the bright white smile of movie stars but within our budget. Additives to reduce the sensitivity of teeth to hot and cold extremes are popular with sufferers of those problems. Special gum health ingredients work with the toothbrush action to reduce the chance of gum disease.
The toothbrush is not immune to the bundling instinct of business interests. Toothbrush sets with character shaped handles, color schemes, and motorized handles are readily available for a price. The motorized handles often come with several brush heads and offer the advantage of constant motion from the motor versus the hand moving.
Toothpaste was basically designed to help clean your teeth after meals so bacteria are not as likely to form on the tooth surfaces. The start was basically a mild soap but soon after came the advent of fluoride treatment and it was added to the mix. Most children assume that we always had fluoride in toothpaste and the water.
Specialized dental products can be bundled to pay attention to denture wearers, the young, the elderly or the active minded. Many tooth cleaning sets may have both water and brush based tools with a variety of toothpastes or rinses. Many people suffer from sensitive gums and soft but effective grouped solutions to dental hygiene for them are available.
Toothpaste has always helped clean teeth to give a whiter appearance but whitening chemical agents were started as additives in toothpaste fairly recently. Among the dental products purely related to toothpaste, it is possible to find ones for tartar control, whitening, fresh breath, and reduced teeth sensitivity to temperatures. The list there is not even complete and new toothpaste products reach the shelves everyday. From humble beginnings, toothpaste is still the basic of dental care.
