Jessica Simpson's Gold Pleated Babydoll Dress

Author: AliaJae Total views: 7 Word Count: 381

This is one of those dresses that you can wear to a cocktail party or a wedding. This Jessica Simpson dress has a hint of sassy, but it is elegant too. It's great that she can pull off her classic Bohemian look and then turn around and wear a babydoll dress.

The thing that got me most about this dress is the color pallet. There are different things that attract us to a dress and this is one of the main factors. The colors are sea green, gold, peach, blue and rose.

This dress is really a piece of artwork that Jessica Simpson would love to parade in! Never would I have thought to combine these color's together, but they look amazing together.

The floral print is something that you just can't ignore and I mean that in a good way. The floral's that were printed on this dress were printed on with a metallic chemical so they standout from the background color of the dress in a very creative way!

Another beautiful detail about the dress is the pleating and twisting of the bodice. I love that the bodice is not straight across it actually has some definition to it! The pleating and the twisting are very pronounced, but they look so great together.

Whoever, came up with this twisting and pleating technique together is a genius! Also, the bodice has some boning on the interior to add extra support for us and maintain the right structure on the interior and exterior of the dress.

The way this empire was designed is incredible. Stunning is one of the ways to describe this dress. Jessica Simpson would look great in this dress. If you have a similar body type then you will look great in this dress too.

I have never been a big fan of the empire waist look because if done the wrong way it can make you look pregnant; and if I am not pregnant I am not down with looking pregnant! However, this empire waist starts right below the breast line and somehow you will not look like you are pregnant.

The body of the dress is made 73% silk and 27% gold lame. The lining is 100% polyester. Of course with fabric like this you know you are to have this dry cleaned only!
