If you plan to set yourself more organized, then organizing your closet would be one among the high priority list to do. Organizing a closet is a very huge task and as if it has to be taken as a whole, it always smart to break it into various smaller activities. Shedding all the items which you no longer need is the initial step in organizing a closet. A good number of things might be noticed that aren?t needed anymore. The general human tendency is to store things for fear of their utility in the future. This is one of the major reasons why closets get cluttered and unmanageable. If you can steer clear of this tendency, then your job is half done. Anyways, even if you have fallen into this trap, the first step towards a clean closet is to get rid of the things that are not needed now. Segregating your stacks or shelf like donate, sell and throw should be more useful.

Once you have cleared the unwanted ones, organize all the wanted stuff. Pile items similar in nature and that would give a good picture of your all belongings like belts, shirts, skirts, pants, shoes etc?

Now after sorting, check if the closet can take all of the stuff together and yet look organized. At times, the old ones are not up to our needs. One might either require a new one or a spiffy organizer parts for a closet to jazz the old closet up.

You can use the kits available for organizing a closet in case you plan to jazz the old one up. Do take the measurements of the closet well before you start off to purchase an organizer kit. This would help you in fitting the new closet neatly into the place of the old closet. Turn the top shelf of the closet and the bar of the old one into a full version which is pimped up with hangers, racks and baskets that slide.

You have to spend on a complete new closet organizer if you shed off the old closet and also the unwanted or unneeded stuff. Measuring the space that the new closet organizer would take is a good thought. You can now have different varieties mixed that can match to your complete new organizer for your closet by setting off to the nearby store for hardware or idea.
