Respect and Passion Lead to Wealth

Everyone loves a classic rags-to-riches tale. Bill Bartmann actually lived one. From a homeless gang member at 14 to a millionaire at 30 is quite a feat for anyone! He thanks his wife, Kathy, often for helping him turn his life around. In more than 30 years of marriage, she has never left his side.

Kathy talked Bill Bartmann into getting his high school equivalent degree, undergraduate degree, and law degree, even though all were a struggle, because Bill was never much of a student. He was a hard worker, though. Some of his classes had to be taken more than once, but eventually he followed his passion and opened a law office for people who couldn't afford an attorney.

Bill Bartmann's financial roller coaster ride began when he left the law practice after about five years. It was the 1970's, and he made a fortune in real estate (which at the time, was fairly easy to do). He was a millionaire by the time he was 30 years old. He then went into the oil business, but when the price of oil dropped from $40 per barrel to only $14, his fortune disappeared.

Day after day, Bill and Kathy began getting rude phone calls from collection agencies. They fed themselves and their two children on only one $10,000 credit line, and there was no money to pay the bills. The harsh, degrading treatment he received from collection representatives led him to his next million-dollar idea, a polite debt collection company.

Bill believed in his heart that most people were like him. They really wanted to pay their bills, but they weren't able to do so. He knew that he would be much more likely to send his money to a nice person than to a degrading one, so he figured other people were probably the same way. He knew they would send as much as they could, when they could. His idea worked!

In Bill Bartmann's life, whether his efforts yielded rags or riches, he has done everything with passion. Teachers told him to get a job making big bucks, but he knew a money-job wasn't going to make him happy if he didn't already love the job before making the money. He knew that success meant happiness rather than money.

Through it all, Bill has gone bankrupt twice, but he has also been a millionaire three times, and now he's a billionaire. He uses the real-life knowledge he's acquired to help others through his Billionaire Mentor Program. In Bill's program, you'll see things you won't see in other programs, and you won't see things you do see in other programs. Why? Respect.

Just as he respected debtors in his collection business, Bill respects entrepreneurs in his business school. He doesn't have pep rallies and rah-rah sessions. He doesn't do all day infomercials. He doesn't give you a lot of fluff you already know. Everything you get is on your level and included in the price of the membership.
